A Dilemma Never Been Addressed

Loss of one million jobs reveals instability of Philippine economy

A Gmanews.tv report revealed that a million jobs were lost from 2011-2012. The report cited data from the Department of Labor and Employment showing that the number of employed Filipinos went down to 37.668 million in October 2012 from 38.55 million in October 2011. It also cited data from the National Statistics Office showing that the number of unemployed Filipinos went up to 2.7 million from 2.6 million during the same period.

Since time immemorial, it has been the dream of every single Filipino citizen around the globe to have a better living.  As I see this news concerning about the problem of unemployment, it easily catches my attention. Topics about unemployment is my interest. It might be due to the ground that I love talking about quality of life.  Yes. statistics about unemployment merely serves as a mirror to what quality of life does a person has in a certain territory , state or nation.

Employed person has this capability of achieving or having a high standard of living in the sense that he can afford to buy goods that he wishes to have and can pay for services that he wants to experience. whereas, if he has no job at all, he could not buy stuff that he wants in life. what a pitiful person wanting to buy delicious food yet can't afford to and a child who wants to go to school but his parents have no job to sustain his needs.

If the number of  unemployed individuals will continue to hike, it only indicates that it's been so long of dreaming yet we have not gone that far. we have been looking forward to have a more prosperous lives yet most Filipinos' lives  nowadays get worse.

Most people blame the government for whatever bad things happen.  Yes, you are right when you say that the government should have to do something in order to alleviate us all from midst of unemployment. but, let us also bear in mind that the government exists not to feed every mouth but rather to support anyone through their endeavor in life. If people continue to rely on the government itself, nothing is gonna happen. The story of poverty will just continue till the end of time.

As a responsible Citizen, let us all ask ourselves and discern. ask ourselves if as young as we are or as old as we are, what things can we do in order to be catalyst of changes in our mother land. Ask ourselves  if what will happen in the future given the fact Filipinos will continue on depending upon the government. We are all blessed of competent minds by Allah/God. let us all utilize it. I assure you that if moment happens that we will depend on nobody but ourselves, every single Filipino will face other people of different races with oozing confidence and pride while heads are held up high that he or she  is a FILIPINO that he or she is a son or daughter of a vivacious nation.
